Hawks Tame Cougars With Doubleheader Sweep

After a week off the field due to inclement weather, the MVCC Baseball team bats roared early and often in a doubleheader sweep over Clinton Community College in Utica.

Game 1: MVCC 17 Clinton CC 2
Jared Muraca picked up the win for MVCC in a game shortened to 5 innings due to the 10 run rule. MV plated 9 runs in the 4th inning to break the game open. Brandon Pelose, and JT Ross each registered two hits for a very balanced offensive attack.
Game 2: MVCC 7, Clinton 1
JT Ross again led the offense with 3 hits including a double and two stolen bases. Justin Kiesow also had two hits and a double for the Hawks. Adam Gleason went 5 innings to earn the victory.
MVCC is now 9-4 in conference play and 12-12 overall. The Hawks travel to Clnton CC on Sunday. First pitch is 1pm.
