Hawks' extend winning streak to four

It took the MVCC men's soccer team into overtime to keep the Hawks' winning streak alive on Saturday, but the hosts walked off the field with a 1-0 victory over Genesee Community College.

This game extends the Hawks' winning streak to four, as the team's overall record is now 5-1. The Hawks have outscored the opposition 14-5 and have dominated control of the ball throughout.

Regulation of Saturday's contest ended in a 0-0 tie, but seven minutes into overtime the game winning goal was scored by Mohamed Hagi with the assist going to Mohamed Kuwa. Hagi is MVCC's leading scorer and was named Athlete of the Week for his performance in the Finger Lakes Invitational. This two-year starter at the forward's position has four goal and four assists.
