Hawks Rally To Tie But Fall To SUNY Broome 3-2

The MVCC Men's Soccer Team's came up short in a tightly fought, physical contest, losing to SUNY Broome 3-2 at Alumni Field in Binghamton.

The Hornets jumped out to a 2-0 first half lead before Belmin Hrnjicic put the Hawks on the scoreboard at the 30 minute mark, scoring on a failed clearance attempt.

The score would remain 2-1 through halftime and late into the second half until MVCC's Alhemeedi Hamad lobbed the ball into the Hornets net in the 83rd minute to tie the contest at 2.

Broome would score the game winning goal with 5:02 remaming as Joshua Wlostowski found a long ball that bounced around the box and put it past Satiago Rojas.

MVCC returns to action Wednesday when the Hawks travel to Finger Lakes CC.
