Celecki leads the Hawks at SUNY Oswego race

In just the second race of the season, the Hawks' runners have already begun to show growing strength as MVCC finished eighth at the SUNY Oswego Cross Country Invitational on Saturday, September 6.

The Hawks competed against NCAA Division I and Division II scholarship programs and excelled with runners like freshman Barrett Celecki finishing 26th in a time of 26 minutes, 42.2 minutes. He was joined by sophomore teammate Todd Stevens in 26:50.8.

This year's squad is exceptionally strong with a mixture of newcomer and veteran runners alike. Sophomore Stephen Paddock placed 65th in 27:49.1 while freshman teammate Brian VanHall was 74th in 28:10.9.

Sophomore Connor Butters placed 100th in 29:10.4 followed right behind in 101st by freshman Tyler Beattie in 29:12.2.
