Lady Hawks Advance to NJCAA National Final Four

The #4 seed MVCC Lady Hawks advanced to the NJCAA Women's DIII National Basketball Final Four with a 75-55 win over Georgia Technical College. 

The Hawks trained 7-0 early in the contest as Jordan Davis scored the Golden Knights first seven points of the game. Once MV started scoring they didn't stop as the Lady Hawks went on a 17-2 run to open a 22-11 lead after one quarter of play.

Cheyenne Clark dominated the second quarter as the sophomore from New Jersey scored 11 of the teams 15 points and MV went into the locker room with a 37-25 halftime lead. 

MV used a balanced scoring attack led by Tiffany Jackson, Kadijah Jones and Clark (who had a massive blocked shot) to open a 19 point lead in the third quarter.

Dionna Rogers scored 6 of her 12 points in the fourth quarter as the Hawks cleared the bench enroute to a 75-55 win.

MVCC will play #1 seed Rock Valley College in the NJCAA Final Four at 7pm on Friday in the Jorgensen Center.
