Hawks back on the victory train

Climb aboard the victory train as the Hawks opened up the 2014 season with an 11-0 final over Niagara County Community College in a game that was so one-sided, Mohawk Valley Community College women's soccer goalie Taylor Moquin didn't face a shot on goal.

Opening the fray was starting midfielder Shelby McCall on an unassisted goal. This lead was quickly extended with the first of three goals by Janelle Dillenbeck, assisted by Jessica Hagadorn. The pair followed up minutes later to make the score 3-0.

Hagadorn made her third assist on Nicole Foti's shot from the left side as it was well out of reach of the Niagara goalie.

Left winger Ashley O'Conner scored her first of two unassisted goals to build the lead to 5-0, which was quickly followed by two goals by the Hawks' other left winger Taylor Doolittle.

Wrapping up the scoring for the 1-0 Hawks was midfielder Caitlin Carlo off a pass from defenseman Maeline Hollenbeck, Hagadorn's goal off the assist by Jordan Case and Dillenbeck completing the hat trick.
