Lady Hawks Can't Hold Lead in Loss to Genesee

The early season struggles continue for the MVCC Lady Hawks soccer team as the dropped a road game to Genesee Community College, 3-1.

Shelby McCall put the Hawks on the scoreboard at the 25:22 mark of the first half when she scored on a penalty kick.  MVCC went into the locker room with a 1-0 halftime lead.

Genesee, forced to play most of the contest with 10 players after a red card was handed out, tied the game on Shawna Adams goal in the 61st minute. Adams scored again in the 62nd minute and completed her hat trick when she scored in the 70th minute.

Jenelle Dillenbeck had three of MVCC's six shots on goal.  Courtney Sherry had 14 saves for MV.

The Hawks return to action Wednesday when they travel to SUNY Broome for a 2pm start.
