The #7 ranked Mohawk Valley Hawks Women's Soccer team improved their record to 4-0 after picking up the win at Finger Lakes CC this afternoon by a score of 8-0. The Hawks saw six different players score goals and 10 players register at least one point on the afternoon. Nikki Casab got the scoring started for the Hawks with 29:43 remaining in the first half as she took a no angle shot over the goal keeper's shoulder to score the eventual game winner. Emily Berube and Rylee Kolek also registered goals in the first half to take a 3-0 lead into the break. Both Casab and Berube would each add another goal in the second half to end the day with two goals apiece. Jenna Thompson, Skyler Jones, and Kaitlyn Daley had the other three goals for the Hawks. Casab, (2,1) Berube, (2,0) Thompson, (1,1) and Aliah Decker (0,2) were the multi-point scorers for the Hawks on the afternoon. Sarah Paul and Sammy Landgren chipped in second half assists as well. Bobbie Lee-Hall saved both shots that she faced and recorded her 3rd shutout and 4th victory of the season in goal.
The Hawks return to action Saturday as they host North Country. Kickoff is set for 1:00pm at the Jorgensen Center!
