The MVCC Baseball team picked up two big wins at SUNY Adirondack on Wednesday afternoon. The Hawks won game one 7-0 and rallied to win game two 6-5 in 8 innings.

In game one: Jon Hardy pitched a complete game shutout on 61 pitches in game one striking out 5 batters. Tony Oh had three hits and Adam Chmielewski homered for the Hawks.

In game two: MVCC scored 3 runs in the 8th inning  of the second game to complete the doubleheader sweep. Keven Cisnero had a two run single in the 8th and Adam Chmielewski knocked in the deciding run with a two out single to complete a three hit performance.

MVCC clinched a birth in the Region III playoffs this weekend. Opponent will be determined Thursday evening. 

MVCC record: 18-15 overall, 14-11 Region III.
