Hawks have strong performance against Genesee CC

MVCC's women lacrosse team played a strong first half as the Hawks tallied six goals. But Genesee Community College came back in the second half to capture a 13-6 victory and snap a two-game losing skid on Saturday.

The Hawks trailed 8-6 at halftime as Chelsea Rosenthal found the back of the net twice, the second one being assisted by Summer Lazare. Keeping the Hawks in the game was Lacey Barry as she tallied two goals with the first being assisted by Taylor Wool.

Wool scored two goals with Barry returning the favor of assisting on one of them.

Making 44 saves for MVCC was Auger Allison. The Hawks' defense forced Genesee to commit 22 turnovers to MVCC's six.
