Lady Hawks Compete in Day 1 of the NJCAA National Championships

Day one of the 2018 NJCAA National Track and Field Championships at Mohawk Valley Community College is in the books.  Mother nature delivered a mix of sun, clouds and afternoon rain showers but it couldn't put a damper on the nearly 400 athletes in town competing for a national championship.

Divah Johnson led the Hawks to their first points of the championship with a fourth place finish in the Steeplechase.

Rose Simmons competed in the Heptathlon for the Hawks. Simmons is currently in third place with 1435 points. 

Day 2 of the NJCAA National Track and Field Championships will feature the conclusion of the Decathlon and Heptathlon, the Men's and Women's 10,000m runs and several field events including: 


Women Pole Vault
Men Long Jump
Men Discus Throw
Men High Jump
Women Long Jump
Men Javelin Throw
Women Discus Throw
