Utica, NY — September 2, 2025
The MVCC men's cross country team opened its 2025 season on Tuesday, competing in the season-opening 6K race hosted by SUNY Polytechnic Institute. The Hawks put together a solid team effort to start the year, led by an impressive collegiate debut from freshman Alex Keller.
Keller, a graduate of Sequoia High School, wasted no time making his mark, finishing in the top 10 out of a field of 50 runners with a standout time of 21:03. His performance set the tone for the team and highlighted the promise he brings to this year's roster.
Keller's early-season success signals a bright future, and with continued training and development, he is expected to be a key contributor throughout the season.
The Hawks will return to action next weekend as they continue their fall campaign, aiming to build momentum and sharpen their form.
