#6 MVCC Men's Soccer Overwhelms SUNY Broome in 8-0 Rout

The #6-ranked Mohawk Valley Community College men's soccer team continued their /run with a commanding 8-0 victory over SUNY Broome.

MVCC wasted no time setting the tone, opening the scoring in the 13th minute when Souayibou Diop finished a pass from Mario Camacho to make it 1-0. Just four minutes later, Francesco Tagliavini doubled the lead with a strike off a setup from Jorge Angeles.

The Hawks kept their foot on the gas with Diego Silva netting the third goal in the 25th minute, again assisted by Camacho. Bangalay Soumahoro joined the scoring party in the 29th minute thanks to a pass from Rodigo Silva, before Javier Montesinos Da added a fifth just minutes later off another assist from Silva.

Soumahoro notched his second of the game in the 33rd minute, this time assisted by Ahmadou Amar, bringing the scoreline to 6-0. MVCC's first-half dominance was capped off by a goal from Camacho in the 45th minute, assisted by Tagliavini, giving the Hawks a stunning 7-0 lead at the break.

The second half saw no let-up, with Montesinos Da grabbing his second goal in the 54th minute after receiving a perfectly placed ball from Arthur Pereira to round out the scoring at 8-0.

On the defensive end, goalkeepers Tijn Laanen and Leo Elsdon combined for the clean sheet.
