MVCC Cross Country Shines at Mountain Valley Conference Championships
This past weekend, the Mohawk Valley Community College (MVCC) Hawks cross country teams delivered a standout performance at the Mountain Valley Conference Championships, earning multiple All-Conference honors.
The MVCC men's team claimed an impressive second-place finish overall, led by a breakout performance from freshman Alex Keller, who blazed through the 8k course in 29:36 to secure 2nd place overall and First Team All-Conference honors.
Joining Keller on the First Team was sophomore Jayden Taylor, who capped off a consistent season with a 5th-place finish in 32:39.
Adding crucial points for the Hawks were Ronald Richmond, placing 8th in 36:47, and Lukas Moore, finishing 10th in 38:21 — both earning Second Team All-Conference recognition.
On the women's side, Jasmine Connor and Kyleigh Razzano led the charge, each earning Second Team All-Conference honors after strong performances in the 5k race.
Connor placed 11th overall with a time of 28:09, closely followed by Razzano in 12th at 28:15.
"Our women have shown incredible progress and commitment," said Coach Cull. "Our men's team showcased how hard work, consistency, and discipline pay off. I'm extremely proud of how both our programs represented MVCC — both on and off the course."
Next up for the Hawks is the NJCAA Region III Regional Championships on October 25, hosted by Finger Lakes Community College.
