Hawks Close Fall Season at MVC Tournament, Face Tough Battles vs. Fulton Montgomery & Hudson Valley
October 2025 – Utica, NY
The Mohawk Valley Hawks capped their 2025 fall campaign in the Mountain Valley Conference tournament with spirited efforts against conference foes Fulton Montgomery Raiders and Hudson Valley Vikings.

Their first matchup came against the Raiders, although the Hawks were unable to overturn Fulton-Montgomery's edge, the effort illustrated how far the program has come in 2025.
Next, Mohawk Valley squared off with the Hudson Valley Vikings. Hudson Valley arrived in strong form — coming into the season unbeaten through early conference play and ultimately holding a national ranking. The Hawks battled hard, trading rallies and showcasing improved serve-receive and blocking schemes.

While the Hawks did not capture the MVC crown, first year head coach Coutney Piazza and staff can take pride in a season of forward progress. This year's Hawks improved their competitive depth, sharpened their tactical awareness, and demonstrated that they can challenge the upper-tier teams in Region III.

As the program turns toward the spring season and off-season training, the Hawks are positioned to make a deeper run when in the Fall 2026 season.

The team also acknowledges the supportive home crowds, family members, alumni, and campus community whose presence energized the Hawks all season long. Their passion and encouragement made every home-match environment a boost for the squad.
Onward now to training, conditioning, and the next chapter — the Mohawk Valley Hawks will be back, stronger, and ready to build for the Fall 2026 season.
