#1 MVCC Men's Basketball Extends Dominant Run With 95–83 Victory

Mohawk Valley Community College secured a decisive 96–83 victory over Cayuga Community College on Sunday afternoon. Mohawk Valley controlled the pace, shooting an impressive 54.7 percent from the field and 48 percent from beyond the arc. Their early offensive rhythm allowed them to build a substantial 50–33 lead by halftime.

The Hawks' perimeter attack was led by standout guard Darnell Childs, who delivered one of the most complete performances of the afternoon. Childs poured in 33 points on 12-of-21 shooting while adding 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Brandon Way Jr., complemented that effort with 19 points and four made threes.

The Hawks found additional scoring from reserve guard Jaeshaun Felder, whose 20 points on 7-of-9 shooting. Contributions from Kevion Cummings, who added 9 points, 5 assists, and 3 steals, along with steady play from Davon Stanley, helped ensure that Mohawk Valley maintained control even as Cayuga increased its pressure late in the game.

In the end, Mohawk Valley pulled away with a 96–83 victory. The Hawks return to action when they head to Fulton Montgomery Community College on November 19th for a 7:00PM tipoff.
