Hawks open up the season at RIT Classic

The Mohawk Valley men's varsity bowling team opened its season with a strong showing in a demanding two-day tournament weekend hosted by RIT.

Saturday's Tiger Cup marked the team's first official action of the year, and Andrew Cyr set the tone immediately. Cyr delivered one of the most consistent performances of the tournament, averaging 207 for the day and earning a 10th-place finish in the individual standings.

On Sunday, MVCC returned to the lanes for the Brick City Classic, where the men once again rose to the challenge. This time, Dustin Graham paced the Hawks, placing 13th with a poised and disciplined effort against an even tougher field. Graham's performance anchored a full-team effort as the group continued to adapt and find rhythm on the demanding oil patterns.

The Hawks return to action after the holiday break when they jump into conference play against SUNY Westchester, Hudson Valley, and Herkimer College. The open up at Westerchester on 1/17.
