MVCC opens up at RIT Classic

The MVCC women's varsity bowling team opened its 2025–26 campaign with an impressive showing at a pair of RIT-hosted tournaments.

Saturday's Tiger Cup saw immediate success from the Hawks. Arianna Fox rolled her way to a 9th-place finish, navigating tricky lane conditions with poise and consistency. Right behind her was teammate Avery Carlson, who claimed 10th place to give MVCC two bowlers inside the top ten on opening day—a strong start to the season and a testament to the team's offseason preparation.

The Hawks returned to the lanes Sunday for the Brick City Classic, where Carlson elevated her game even further. In one of the standout performances of the entire event, she surged to a 4th-place finish, earning a spot on the All-Tournament Team. Her adaptability and control on the unforgiving oil pattern highlighted why she is expected to be one of MVCC's key contributors throughout the season.

With two strong outings to open the year and clear signs of continued growth ahead, the Hawks are eager for their main season to begin in January. The Hawks open up the 2026 calendar year at SUNY Westchester on 1/17.
