Men's and Women's Bowling Shows Strong in Opening 2026 Weekend
The Mohawk Valley Community College men's and women's bowling teams opened conference play over the weekend with strong performances at Spins Bowl in Carmel and at their home Hawk Invitational at Kingpin Lanes.
Saturday – Conference Match at Spins Bowl - Hosted by Westchester Community College
In their first conference match of the season, the Hawks' men's team posted back-to-back 2–1 match victories. In the opening match, Andrew Cyr set the tone with games of 268 and 681, while George Marsh added a solid 601 to boost the team total.
The men followed with another 2–1 win in the second match, this time led by Trevor Cyr, who rolled an impressive 289 and finished with a 731 series. Andrew Cyr continued his strong day with a 677 series, and George Marsh contributed 596 as the Hawks maintained consistency across the lineup.
On the women's side, the Hawks finished the day 1–3. Arianna Fox led Mohawk Valley with a top performance of 183 and a 453 series, providing a highlight as the team gained valuable conference experience.
Sunday – Hawk Invitational at Kingpin Lanes
Competing on their home lanes at the Hawk Invitational, the men's team turned in a championship performance, coming away victorious. George Marsh led the way, winning singles all-events honors and standing out as the only bowler to average 200 on a challenging 47-foot lane pattern.
The women's team also delivered a strong showing, finishing second overall in the invitational.
The Hawks return to action this Friday at Kingpin Lanes with another conference match scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
