UTICA, N.Y. — Mohawk Valley Community College men's basketball standouts Darnell Childs and Jaeshaun Felder earned major postseason recognition following the 2025–26 season.
Childs headlined the honors, being named Region III Player of the Year and First Team All-Region. The sophomore point guard also earned Mountain Valley Conference Player of the Year and First Team All-Conference recognition after a dominant season for the Hawks.
A native of East Elmhurst, New York, Childs averaged 21.2 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game while leading Mohawk Valley offensively throughout the year. He scored in double figures in 25 of 26 games, demonstrating remarkable consistency as the team's floor leader.
Felder also received postseason accolades, earning Second Team All-Region and Second Team All-Conference honors. The sophomore forward from Bronx, New York averaged 16.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game, playing a key role in the Hawks' success during the season.
The duo anchored Mohawk Valley's lineup and were recognized among the top players in both the conference and across NJCAA Region III.
