MVCC Softball Completes Three-Game Day Against Division II Competition, Finish 2-1
After games on Monday were cancelled, Mohawk Valley Community College (MVCC) competed in three games on Wednesday against National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II opponents: Wake Technical Community College, Morton College, and State Fair Community College. MVCC finished the day with two wins and one loss, showing strong performance across all three games.
Game 1 Summary
MVCC 6, Wake Technical Community College 2
MVCC opened the day with a 6–2 win over Wake Technical Community College.
The Hawks produced consistent offense throughout the game. Scout Ludwig led the team with two hits in three at-bats, including a home run, and recorded two runs batted in. Leandra Plows added two hits in four at-bats, while Paige Morrone finished with two hits in three at-bats and scored one run.
Isabella Kleban reached base multiple times and scored two runs. Emma Kraszewski recorded two hits in four at-bats, and Kendal Borden contributed with a triple.
In the circle, Emma Kraszewski pitched a complete game. She allowed eight hits and two runs, issued one walk, and recorded two strikeouts. She maintained control throughout the game and limited scoring opportunities.

MVCC earned its second win of the day with a 12–9 victory over Morton College.
The offense was balanced and productive across the lineup. Isabella Kleban led the team with two hits in three at-bats, including a double and a triple, along with a walk and one run batted in. Scout Ludwig contributed three hits in four at-bats, including a double and one run batted in.
Alyssa Peart reached base in all of her plate appearances, finishing three-for-three with a walk. Leandra Plows added one hit and one run batted in, while Paige Morrone recorded a triple and contributed offensively.
In the circle, Alyssa Peart started the game and allowed eight runs on five hits with four walks. Kaylee Beam entered in relief during the fifth inning and finished the game. She allowed one hit and one unearned run, helping secure the win and prevent further scoring.
Game 3 Summary
State Fair Community College 7, MVCC 2
MVCC concluded the day with a 7–2 loss to State Fair Community College.
Despite the result, MVCC continued to compete effectively. Scout Ludwig led the offense with two hits in three at-bats, including two doubles, and recorded one run batted in. Isabella Kleban added one hit, and Leandra Plows contributed one hit and one run batted in.
Emma Kraszewski reached base twice with two walks. The team maintained quality at-bats and created scoring opportunities throughout the game.
Rori Hanks delivered a strong performance in the circle. She allowed four earned runs on ten hits, issued one walk, and recorded three strikeouts. Defensive errors contributed to additional unearned runs.
The Hawks are now 2-3 on the season, playing all 5 games against NJCAA DII programs. The Hawks return to action when they take on NJCAA DI Metropolitan Community College and NJCAA DII Oakton Community College in their final day of play in Myrtle Beach.
