The Mohawk Valley men's lacrosse team fell to 0-2 on the season following a 20-2 loss on the road at Jefferson Community College.

Jefferson set the tone early, scoring multiple goals in the opening minutes and maintaining control throughout the game. Mohawk Valley's defense experienced early breakdowns that led to several quick scoring opportunities for the home team.

In goal, freshman Anthony Badolato recorded a strong individual performance despite the result, making 24 saves on 44 shots faced.

Offensively, Mohawk Valley was held scoreless until midway through the third quarter. Freshman Ethan Pogozelski put the Hawks on the board with a rebound goal after a shot by sophomore captain Kyle Erway. The goal marked Pogozelski's second in as many games.

Less than two minutes later, freshman Bryan Decker added another highlight, scoring his first collegiate goal. Erway assisted on the play, earning his second assist of the game.

The Hawks will return to action for their home opener on Wednesday, April 1 at 5:30 p.m., when they host Tompkins-Cortland Community College. The game will be available via livestream on Hudl.
