Mohawk Valley Community College (MVCC) softball swept a doubleheader against SUNY Adirondack on April 30 at Accelerate Sports, winning 13–4 in Game 1 and 10–6 in Game 2.
In the opener, MVCC's offense erupted for 13 runs on nine hits, breaking the game open with a five-run first inning and continuing to build momentum throughout. Emma Kraszewski led the attack, going 2-for-2 with a home run and five RBIs. Alyssa Peart scored three runs and drove in another, while Scout Ludwig added a double and an RBI. Paige Morrone contributed a double and two RBIs, and Kyla Zabek also drove in a run.
Leandra Plows added a hit and scored twice, while Madysen Saddlemire and Kaylee Beam each contributed offensively as MVCC controlled the game early. Peart earned the win in the circle, striking out eight over five innings while allowing four runs on six hits.
In Game 2, MVCC completed the sweep with a 10–6 victory in a more back-and-forth contest. The Hawks totaled 10 hits and capitalized on key innings to pull away late. Scout Ludwig led the way offensively, going 2-for-5 with a home run, double, and two RBIs. Isabella Kleban also had a strong game, hitting a home run and driving in three runs.
Leandra Plows added two hits and two RBIs, while Paige Morrone recorded two hits and a run scored. Kaylee Beam, Alyssa Vera, and Emma Kraszewski also contributed hits, with Kraszewski and Beam each driving in runs.
Beam earned the win in the circle, pitching a complete game while allowing six runs on 10 hits and striking out eight.
With the wins, MVCC continues strong late-season momentum. The Hawks return to action on May 2 with a road matchup at SUNY Niagara.
