Mohawk Valley Community College closed out its regular-season slate with a doubleheader sweep of Jefferson Community College on May 3, taking both ends of a high-scoring twinbill at Accelerate Sports.
MVCC opened the day with a 7–6 win in a tight contest that featured early scoring swings on both sides. The Hawks responded quickly after Jefferson's three-run inning, using a steady offensive push and timely hits to regain control. Scout Ludwig provided key power with a home run, while Alyssa Peart drove in runs and helped stabilize the lineup. Jefferson kept pressure on throughout, but MVCC held on late to secure the one-run victory.
The second game turned into a more explosive matchup, with MVCC pulling away for a 13–8 win. The Hawks broke through with a big middle stretch, highlighted by Madysen Saddlemire's offensive production and continued contributions from the top of the order. Kaylee Beam also added run support, while MVCC capitalized on extended innings to build a comfortable cushion despite Jefferson staying competitive offensively.
Across both games, MVCC's offense proved consistent and deep, with multiple players contributing across the lineup. Jefferson matched with strong individual performances, including Layla Killino's power at the plate, but the Hawks' ability to string together runs proved decisive.
With the sweep, MVCC finishes its regular season on a strong note and now awaits Region III Championship seeding to determine its semifinal matchup.
