Patrick Beilein is the new Head Coach of MVCC’s Men’s Basketball Team, which made history in 2025 by capturing its first-ever NJCAA National Championship.

The son of NCAA Division I coaching legend John Beilein, Coach Beilein brings a wealth of experience as both a player and a coach. His career includes proven success at multiple levels of the game. From 2015-19, he served as head coach at DII Le Moyne College, guiding the Dolphins to three NCAA Tournament appearances, earning Northeast-10 Conference Coach of the Year honors in 2017 and 2018, and recording a 12-game winning streak — the second-longest in program history. He has also led the Syracuse Stallions of The Basketball League, served as varsity coach at Baldwinsville High School, worked as a player development coach for the NBA’s Utah Jazz, and was head coach at DII West Virginia Wesleyan College.

As a player, Beilein excelled at West Virginia University under his father’s leadership, scoring 1,001 career points and helping the Mountaineers reach the Elite Eight in 2005 and the Sweet 16 in 2006. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Athletic Coaching Education from WVU in 2006.
